Marinated Chicken Tostadas Recipe

Servings: 4-6


  • 1 large chicken breast
  • ¼ onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 package of tostadas
  • Salt to taste

For the marinade:

  • 3 guajillo chiles washed
  • 3 ancho chili peppers washed
  • 1 saladet tomato
  • ¼ onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 fat peppers
  • 1 pinch of oregano
  • ½ table chocolate tablet
  • 1 cup of orange juice without seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • Vegetable oil

  1. First, in a pot with enough water, cook the breast together with the onion, garlic and salt, until it is cooked; take it out, let it cool a little and shred it finely; reservation.
  2. To make the marinade: devein the chiles and soak them in 2 cups of boiling water to soften them.
  3. In a comal roast the tomato, onion and garlic; mix them with chili peppers, peppers,
  4. oregano and 1/2 cup of water from the soaking of the chilies.
  5. Fry the marinade in a saucepan with a little oil; add the chocolate and stir constantly to dissolve it.
  6. Finally, pour in the orange juice and when it thickens a little, add the chicken, stir and when it is hot, remove and distribute it among the toasts.

Keep an eye out: place the marinade until you are going to serve the toasts to prevent them from falling apart
