One of the fruit jams that I like the most is the guava jam.
Here is the recipe for how to make a delicious guava marmalade.
The ingredients: 1 kilo of pink guava without skin cut into pieces, 2 cups of sugar, a tablespoon of lemon juice and 3 cups of water.
The preparation: the guava is cooked in the water for about ten to fifteen minutes. Later it is strained and the water that was used to cook it is reserved.
The guava is passed through a strainer to obtain the pulp without the seeds and is placed in a saucepan with the sugar, the lemon juice and a cup and a half of the water that was used to cook the fruit. Cook over medium heat for approximately 20 minutes or until the desired consistency is obtained, stirring constantly to prevent the jam from burning on the bottom. And ready!!
When finished, it is packaged in a sterilized bottle and stored in the fridge.
