Dough Empanadas

To prepare empanadas, a neutral / base dough is served, puff pastry is one of the most used.

How to make dough for empanadas?

  • 500 g of wheat flour
  • 1/2 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon of salt
  • 200g butter
Step by Step
  1. Melt the butter in a skillet.
  2. Sift the flour and place in a bowl, along with the salt and sugar.
  3. Add the melted butter.
  4. Mix for 8 minutes or until it forms a homogeneous dough that does not stick.
  5. Let it rest for 20 minutes.
  6. Roll out with a rolling pin and cut small circles with a cutter or the rim of a glass.
